Random DNA tests

In order to assure accuracy of our stud books to the general public both here and abroad, the Board of Directors is considering random parentage DNA tests of 3 or 4 litters per year. These tests will be funded by CBCA unless parentage proofs to be wrongly reported - then the cost will have to be covered by the breeder. Should there be misrepresentation of dam and/or sire in a litter this would of course also have consequences as prescribed in the Animal Pedigree Act.
